The darkness returns
cocooning me in its’ web of warmth and loneliness..
bringing you back
and all we knew
All we know of our highs and lows..
we’ve been kissed by the rain as it washed away our pain
We endured the fire as it branded our hearts..

Another time
our love would have never been erased..
my arms hold on to the empty space
so hard to hold on to what’s gone
Harder to let it go..
I am yesterday
It is tomorrow..
Closing my eyes
I’ll feel it one more time
as I welcome in the dawn..
