The violent sky held its' breath
as my thoughts waged war
Breaking me down, ripping me apart hope by hope
the assault brutal, until I was no more
Lifeless and spent - I crumbled
But the hold was relentless..
I glanced up and the tenderness caused me to catch my breath
Your eyes spoke of an honesty I couldn't turn from..
Slowly the sky exhaled
As you broke through to my heart
Your touch feeding me
The hate dissipating..
my war torn soul falling away
As you canvassed me in a love so full of life
I felt the breath returning..
My heart had come home
